Namo is the perfect place for an intimate date, catching up with friends, or a solo meal. It's zen and elegant with a distinctive cozy element. Consistent in their fresh food, service and vibe. Highly recommend the madai sashimi with the pink sauce and the wagyu nigiri. Chef brought out an unbelievable piece of toro from the belly of the tuna.
For dessert: Brownie with matcha gelato.
You cannot go wrong at Namo! -

What delicious hand rolls! And they are made right in front of you.
My favorites are the blue crab, yellowtail, and tuna rolls. They do get a little pricy a la carte and I personally need to eat quite a few of these to get full, but there are some set menus that are good value. -

Where do I even begin with this place. Nestled between two shops in the West Village area, this place can be hard to miss if you're not looking for it. Walking in, the place reminded me of an upscale, trendy sushi bar you might find in LA or NYC. If you've ever been to Kazunori or another handroll place, the atmosphere is exactly the same. The type of sushi they specialize in here is called Temaki, which are essentially long sushi rolls. The staff behind the sushi bar were extremely kind and accommodating, answering any questions I had with the menu.
I ordered a pre-selected 5 handrolls, which consisted of lobster, blue crab, toro (fatty tuna), salmon, and hamachi as well as the special for the day, A4 wagyu beef. Everything tasted extremely fresh and delicious. I especially loved the toro and the lobster, which were some of the best handrolls I have ever had in my life. Namo prides itself in the quality of the nori (seaweed) they use for their rolls, and it clearly shows. The seaweed was perfectly crispy and was very flavorful. The A4 wagyu was to die for. Two thin, fatty pieces of wagyu beef, blowtorched to sear the outside of the meat, and placed on perfectly sculpted balls of rice. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and tasted phenomenal.
I will 100% be coming back here, and I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a new sushi experience. -

I wish i could eat here everyday. The unique style seating around the sushi kitchen is really neat. The staff is great, and the FRESH sushi and sashimi is why I had no problem spending quite a bit of money here, on myself! The Rolls are a must must must.

Wow! This place has some really good handrolls - there is a perfect combination of rice, seaweed, wasabi, soy sauce, and filling (you name it) that makes for a very satisfying meal. You honestly do not need to get extra soy sauce/wasabi on the side.
Highly recommend trying out the $19 for 5 handroll set if you would like to get a good filling sampler of toro, salmon, blue crab, lobster, and sea bream - if you can't eat as much, you should try out just a couple of the chef's specialty rolls, which include king crab, unagi, etc.
Good rolls - blue crab, salmon, king crab (really good, $10), unagi (also $10 but definitely a bit pricy)
Alright rolls - lobster, toro, sea bream
When you enter, you're immediately seated in a big rectangular table around the chef (the restaurant is a bit small), who makes the handrolls in front of you. Ambience is great and food is very moderately priced and filling. Will be back!
